Knee Replacement Procedures Available in Bangkok
Last updated: September 2026
Four procedures are available through our partner hospitals. Which one suits you is decided by assessment of your imaging and history, not by a price list. If you are not a suitable candidate for surgery at all, we will tell you honestly.
Prices below are package prices with the implant included except where stated. The cost page has the full table with conversions, and the complete guide to knee replacement in Bangkok covers the clinical detail behind all of them.
Total knee replacement
The standard operation for end-stage knee osteoarthritis: the damaged joint surfaces are replaced with an implant. Suits patients whose pain limits daily life after non-surgical treatment has failed.
From 283,000 THB, implant included.
About total knee replacementRobotic-assisted knee replacement
The same operation with robotic-arm guidance for the bone cuts, planned from a CT scan of your knee. More precise alignment; the honest evidence on what that buys you is on the page.
From 510,000 THB, implant included.
About robotic-assisted surgeryBilateral knee replacement
Both knees in one operation, one anaesthetic and one recovery period. A bigger operation with stricter candidacy, suited to patients with severe arthritis in both knees and good general fitness.
680,000 THB for both knees, implants included.
About bilateral replacementHip replacement
Total and robotic-assisted hip replacement are also available at the same hospitals, for patients who need timely access to hip surgery with clear written pricing.
From 425,200 THB (implant not included at that price) or 511,580 THB robotic with the implant included.
About hip replacementAll four are performed at our three partner hospitals: Bumrungrad International Hospital, Phyathai 2 Hospital and KDMS Hospital. Each hospital page explains what it is best for and what it is not.
